When verifying an ID card or document, there are several key pieces of information you should look for:

  1. Full Name: The full name on the ID should be the same as the name given by the person or what's recorded on their Hub profile.
  2. Photograph: Ensure the photograph matches the person presenting the ID. Check for similarities in facial features. The photo should look like a recent representation of the person.
  3. Birth Date: Check the birth date to verify the person's age. They must be over 18 years of age to trade with us.
  4. Expiration Date: Ensure the ID is still valid and has not expired.
  5. ID Number: Most identification cards have a unique identifying number.
  6. Address: The address, if present on the ID, can also be verified for consistency with their Hub profile details.
  7. Signature: Where applicable, the signature should match the signature provided on a separate document.

Security Features: This is automatically conducted by Sumsub. If the result indicate potential fraudulent activity or forgery, the application should be escalated to the Compliance Team for further review. Full Library of ID documents, examples and their security features can be found here:

Remember, all these points are clues to the authenticity of an ID. Some ID cards, like driver's licenses, have more detailed information and security features, while others might be more basic. Make sure to understand the specifics of the identification document you are handling.

Important: Most forms of identification include the above-mentioned information. However, certain documents may exclude some details. For example, passports may not display the residential address. Similarly, some IDs might not exhibit expiration dates but only the issue dates (such as Swiss driver license).
