For Indonesia and Malaysia NIK cards - if the ID's DOB is unclear, you may refer to the ID number instead. Please see the format below:

 

Indonesian NIK card - ID number format -  PPRRSSDDMMYYXXXX (PP is a two-digit province code, RR is a two-digit regency or city code, SS is a two-digit district code, DDMMYY is the date of birth (DD is added by 40 for females), and XXXX is a four-digit randomized number.)

Malaysian NIK card - ID number format - YYMMDD-PB-###G (The first six digits YYMMDD signify the person's date of birth, PB, the seventh and eighth digit, based on the place of birth of the person, which will be referred from the birth certificate upon application of the MyKad, ###, the ninth through eleventh digit is the generic special number generated by the National Registration Department of Malaysia's computer system)
