How do I download a history of trading quotes/prices?
You can download Quote History using the following steps
In the top menu, click ‘Tools’ within MetaTrader 4 and find ‘Options’.
In the next window, select the tab ‘Charts’ and in the drop-down list manually specify the maximum number of bars in history and bars in the window. Please note that each one-day period contains 1440 1-minute bars. Once done, click ‘ok’.
Next, in the top menu, click ‘Tools’ then ‘History Centre’. In the left side, you will see a list of products.
Search for the trading product you’re looking and double click on it. Once done, double click on the period you are requesting and once the data populates, click the ‘Export’ button and choose where you wish to download it. Once you’ve finished downloading, you will see the history of quotes in a table form or in graph form.
