PayPal Matching

Since we launched PayPal, we have treated it in the same way that we do our other e-wallet services when it comes to 'matching'. That is, you can fund via PayPal and withdraw through any other method that is available to you, whether that be Neteller, Skrill or just a traditional bank transfer.

Unfortunately, this is something that we are going to be changing. From now on, any bank wire request that you receive needs to not only be checked for previous funding via credit card, but also previous funding via PayPal. If you see PayPal funding in the client's history, please send the request for approval from the team before sending it to Gleneagle to process.

We are not enforcing a strict 1-1 policy like we do for credit card, but we will want where possible, to return client funds through the PayPal account that they funded first.

If client ask if they can withdraw through any method when funding via PayPal:

We will first want to ensure funds that have come in via PayPal have also been withdrawn back to the same account. After the amount that they have funded has been withdrawn in full through PayPal then they can choose other options for withdrawing.

Note:

For future reference, please do not ask the client to reach out to PayPal regarding credit card withdrawals processed via PayPal credit card service. PayPal here is only a processor and asking the client to present the ARN to them will not help them trace their funds.

Matching Policy:

We follow a policy that requires us to match back any funds deposited via PayPal back through that same PayPal account used. Basically, this means that funds must be returned to the PayPal account matching the amount deposited into the  account via that same account. Implementing this policy allows us to ensure that funds are securely sent to clients and are returned to the original source of the funds.

PayPal Restriction - Indonesia and Romania
PayPal will be restricted for clients from Indonesia and Romania. An email has been sent out to clients from these countries that have used the facility recently informing them of this change. Should you receive any contact from these clients please direct them to alternative funding methods.

If they recently funded with PayPal, can they still withdraw the funds with PayPal or alt. method?
They can continue to use PayPal until all their funds are refunded then they can use an alternative method.

PayPal Query:

We must refund all deposits made via PayPal before funds can be sent via an alternative method

Please note that even if PayPal account is no longer used, when the funds are refunded, they will go directly back to the original source of funding such as credit/debit card or bank account.

NOTE: The billing address may already be updated with the new email, however, is not crucial in the funding process. The client being able to log into their new PayPal will determine the source of funding not the email input into the billing address.
