Q: Would you tell me why A50 market is close before HK time 0915 hr.  It seems the market hour has been changed recently.

We now have 3 China/Hong Kong based index markets.

CHINAH is a new symbol that we have launched based on the China H shares index - we 'soft-launched' this recently and are going to send out an email to clients soon to announce the new product. CHINA and HK50 are two Hong Kong based indices.

Our other symbol "CN50" is the one that is based of the A50 index, which the client might be referring to here - otherwise he may have CHINAH and CN50 mixed up due to CHINAH being added recently

CHINAH and HK50 will have the same trading hours, as they are both based in Hong Kong. The trade session times to match will be updated (as CHINAH is a new symbol, OPS are still waiting to confirm with the LP on the trading hours in case they priced it out of the normal market hours).

CN50 has separate hours, and I am not aware of any changes to the hours for this one - however if the client has a specific instance of a difference, we could review the reason for it. I think it might just be a case where the client has seen CHINAH and thought it was the same as CN50. - As per Chris Hewitt
