How to fund via Interac?

This is how it will show for Canadian clients:

As its a CAD option, if you have a USD account, it will have a conversion: 

 
 

 
 

 
 

Once you enter the amount, you will be presented with the following instructions: 

 
 

 




Funds are sent as return to sender since they could not be applied to a relevant transaction in our system. This user would receive deposit instructions when initiating a transaction. As they are not following them (provided below) nothing can be matched or applied by our system.  

To ensure a successful deposit, users should be doing the following:

1. Make sure your name and email in the merchant account matches the name and email on the transfers deposited to Bitfy.
2. Make sure the amount initiated with the merchant matches the amount deposited to Bitfy.
3. Please include the special code/tracking ID in the message area of your transfer
4. Always initiate the transaction first, before depositing money to Bitfy.
5. Complete your transfer within 24 hours of initiating the transaction



If the user is receiving a error when depositing or accepting a return then they should provide a screenshot of the error message. 


Please read the instructions to understand the process the client will go through to make the payment.  



Please note as well that the transaction limits are pretty small. They are set by their bank but it is most likely not higher than 2-3k CAD. Just something to keep in mind. 


On a front end level on the deposit form, we have a limit set of 3k per transaction. If they have arranged a higher limit with their bank then they can do another transaction but generally the limit set from the bank is a daily one, not a transaction one. 


From my discussions with Gigadat (the PSP), they said Interac is used pretty extensively for things like paying bills so everyone would be aware of what their limit is.

Q:  is that per transaction? Could they do multiple transactions one after the other?

Can I use Interac to fund my account?

Yes, we allow funding via Interac. The funds take between 1-4 hours to clear in your trading account and is free of charge.



Pending Interac Deposit 

Please get the following information from the client before raising to the Gigadat team (tx_inquiry@gigadatsolutions.com)



We will reach out to the Gigadat Team and they will need the following information to locate the funds. 

 

Please provide the following information:

 

• The 8-digit Interac Reference Number (CA******)

• The EXACT NAME & EMAIL that appears on the e-transfer.

• The DATE of the transfer/transaction

 

A confirmation email is sent from the bank or Interac after every e-Transfer deposit to the email registered in the sender's e-Transfer settings.
